Memoir Writing: Healing through Narrative
Sarah Chaves
27 Nov. 2015 / 10.30 am—1pm
This workshop centers on memoir writing as a source of solace. Through writing,
we can learn to confront our past in a safe environment and begin the process
of reflecting and healing.
Sarah Chaves is a first-generation Portuguese-American writer who attempts
to tackle the incredible distance that lies between the hyphen separating
Portuguese and American. Excerpts from her working memoir have been published
in The Emerson Review, The Notebook, and other journals. She is
the current 2015-2016 Fulbright Scholarship Grantee in Portugal.
